Ringing in the New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

2016 starts tomorrow and for a lot of you that means your insurance benefits will have refreshed for the new year. What’s that you say? You don’t know enough about your insurance to figure it out? No problem, the friendly staff at St Johns Vision Clinic is here and can help you make sense of the mess that insurance is.

Disclaimer: just because your benefits reset this year will not mean that you can use your insurance to schedule an appointment with us right away.  The time table on when you can use your insurance again is dependent on when you last had an appointment covered by your insurance. Let’s say for example that your last optometry related appointment was in March of 2015. Assuming that you have the same insurance and that your plan has not changed, you would be eligible for an appointment under your insurance again until March of 2016. This is not the case for some insurance plans which is why we encourage you to call us here at St Johns Vision Clinic so we can help you figure things out.
